Top AW19 Trends at London Fashion Week

As another fashion month draws to a close, we’ve been perusing the catwalks of London to find our favourite trends for A/W19. Brands such as Burberry, Victoria Beckham, Vivienne Westwood and JW Anderson gathered in the capital to showcase their latest collections for fashion insiders to see. Here we pick our top trends for the ultimate AW19 sartorial inspiration.

London Fashion Week AW19 trends

Despite the news of the late, great Karl Lagerfeld’s death and Brexit looming, designers embraced a positive outlook during LFW AW19. Tisci’s second outing for Burberry was set in two parts; one dedicated to youth culture focusing on key streetwear looks, the second part was the return of sophisticated Burberry. Vivienne Westwood chose activism for her show, where models spoke about climate change and government corruption. Victoria Beckham was back in London for the second time, offering silk blouses, red dresses, tailoring and tweed coats; proving that fashion week isn’t just about crazy looks you’ll never see in store, it can provide fashionable and wearable clothes.  We’ve chosen our key takeaway trends from London and show you how to accessorise them.

Florals with a Nude Leather Watch

Not just reserved for spring / summer, florals were in full bloom at Erdem, Preen and Richard Quinn. This trend can brighten up your winter wardrobe, so keep your accessories simple.

Try adding a nude leather watch; such as the Blip or the Atom, to your outfit. Inspired by the art deco era, the Atom has a petite case in rose gold with a minimalist marker dial. This feminine design is finished off with a soft nubuck leather strap in nude pink. For something more versatile, opt for the Blip. This nude nubuck leather watch has a vintage-finish stainless-steel case and Arabic dial with angled 60-second inner bezel.

Glitter with a Mesh Strap Watch

You can never have too much glitter during autumn / winter. Everyone from Halpern to Molly Goddard added a touch of sparkle to their AW19 collections. Glitter is the ultimate go-to when it comes to December dressing.

Our metallic mesh strap watches match perfectly with this trend. The Cubeline has a unique square case and a Milanese mesh strap in silver or gold. For something more feminine go for the Atom in gold or silver Milanese mesh.

Outerwear with a Black Leather Watch

Puffer, trench, wool; coats are an autumn / winter staple. Trenches were reinvented at Rejina Pyo, wool coats were shown in vintage checks and tweed at Victoria Beckham, and puffer coats paraded down the catwalk in all shades from basic black at Christopher Kane, to futuristic silver at Burberry.

Our black leather watches are the perfect choice to go under your outerwear this winter. The Drumline monochrome collection has been stripped back to its fundamentals. Available in both a graphic numeral dial and modern marker dial, this wristwear collection comes in six monochrome styles. This timepiece features a straight-cut stainless-steel or black ion-plated case and is complemented with a classic black leather strap with red underlining.

Country Casual with a Tan Leather Watch

The countryside took centre stage at London Fashion Week as designers paid tribute to the prints, patterns and fabrics of England. Classic checks were a key ingredient at Burberry, whilst JW Anderson channelled escape-to-the-country chic. Alexa Chung presented her second on-schedule show with tweed blazers, and ASAI infused traditional Saville Row with his Asian heritage.

Complement country-chic outfits with a tan leather watch. For a versatile, everyday option, go for the Blip. For something more feminine choose between the petite-dial Atom or the classic New York. These styles are finished off with a soft tan leather strap with cream underlining.

Vivid Colours with a Minimalist Watch

Gen-Z yellow reigned supreme amongst LFW designers. As seen at Mary Katrantzou, JW Anderson and Emilia Wickstead. But it didn’t stop there, shades of bright pink, green, purple and orange adorned the runway at Molly Goddard. This injection of colour has inspired our 2019 collection, keep a look out for our latest wristwear launch coming soon!

In the meantime, let your colourful outfit do the talking and stick to a minimalist leather watch. Clean lines and understated components make up our contemporary watch ranges. Try the Atom in black, this modern leather watch has a petite brushed black case, minimal marker dial and is finished off with a soft black leather strap.

For something dressier, opt for the silver mesh Blip. This luxe timepiece features a slim vintage stainless-steel case and finely woven Milanese mesh strap. This silver watch is available in a modern numeral dial or reverse black marker dial.
