Best Street Style from London Fashion Week: Men's 2019

The real catwalk during fashion week happens outside. From 5th to 7th January this year, all eyes were on London as British menswear designers showcased their latest collections in the capital. Between the shows, fashion folk gathered on the streets hoping to get snapped for their sartorial choices. We've rounded up our favourite looks from the coolest weekend in fashion.

As fashion insiders descended on London for the three-day extravaganza back in January, street style is really where it’s at when it comes to outfit inspiration. Press, buyers, influencers and those-in-the-fashion-know took to the streets of the capital to display their outfits for all to see. From sharp tailoring and streetwear, to oversized coats and accessories, read on to discover our favourite looks from the streets of London; and which watch to pair with each look.

Suited & Booted

When it comes to menswear, tailoring never goes out of style. Bring your suit up-to-date by wearing with a pair of trainers or a cap. Finish off the look with a canvas watch.

Try the Torpedo; this is our take on a classic aviator dial watch. Inspired by military marine instrumentation, the Torpedo has a stainless-steel case with an angled inner bezel, graphic white 24-hour dial and is finished off with a lightweight canvas strap.

Athleisure Wear

The rise of streetwear and sportswear shows no sign of stopping anytime soon. Balancing comfort with style, this trend lends itself perfectly to accessories. Pair your chinos with a hoody, trainers, bucket hat and blazer; then finish off with a navy leather watch.

Our versatile Blip timepiece is perfect for everyday wear. Try the soft navy nubuck leather strap colourway; it features a vintage finish stainless-steel case, Arabic dial and angled 60-second inner bezel.

Print Clash

Tartan and leopard print, orange mixed with pink, florals with stripes or denim and suede. Whatever you’re clashing, pair with simple, black minimal wristwear to let your prints do the talking.

The Drumline black-on-black is the perfect outfit addition. Available in both a black numeral dial and marker dial, this modern timepiece has been stripped back to its fundamentals. It features a straight-cut stainless-steel case for a clean profile and coated in hardwearing ion plating with a brushed black finish; and finished off with a black leather strap.

All About the Accessories

Whether it's a pair of aviators, beanie, man bag or bum bag worn across the chest, the fash-pack accessorise to the max! What better way to finish off your outfit than with a modern leather watch.

If you’re looking for something classic, opt for The Electric, this retro style watch is a Newgate icon. It has a deep flared stainless-steel case, bold retro dial (inspired by our Electric wall clock) and black silicone strap. For oversized and opulent, choose The Drummer Grand; this timepiece has an 11m deep stainless-steel straight cut case, minimal marker dial and black leather strap underlined with red leather. This chunky watch is available in gold, silver, cream with contrasting red hands or a 24-hour numeral dial. If you’re looking to make a real style statement, go for a square case. The Cubeline has a unique square, straight-cut case, marker dial and is available in either a black leather strap or finely woven Milanese mesh strap in gold or silver.

Colour Pop

The streets of London were adorned with bold brights. And we’re not just talking a pop of neon with muted hues. It was full on highlighter shades all over. Pair with one of our silver or gold Milanese mesh watches and you’ve got a match made in heaven.

The Blip, in silver mesh, is available in a stainless-steel case and classic cream numeral dial. Or you could go for the reverse black and minimal marker dial.

The Drumline and The Cubeline have options in gold mesh. Both have a marker dial and are available in all gold or black faces. The Drumline has a round straight-cut case and The Cubeline features a unique square face.

This trend provided inspiration for our new 2019 collection, coming soon!

Utilitarian

Lines between sportswear, streetwear, functional and utilitarian design are crossing over more and more. Think tracksuits, anoraks, all-over camo and military jackets, covered in zips and pockets. Our collection of tan leather watches makes the perfect partner for this trend.

The Torpedo watch is inspired by the utilitarian design of military marine instrumentation. It has a straight-cut stainless-steel case tooled to create an integral angled inner bezel with a 24-hour dial and is finished off with a tan leather strap.

The Drumline is inspired by the utilitarian architecture of global cityscapes. This sleek timepiece features a brushed stainless-steel or black ion-plated case, numeral or marker dial and finished off in a soft tan or brown leather strap.
